Kolor Skeme is a "fresh young clothing line steaming from South London" according to the talents behind this new brand.
With an ability to visualise design in great detail they hatched a plan to share their ideas with the world. With lots of ambition and careful planning, these two young men who in their own words were 'predicted to be educational failures' set about founding KS, whose target market is 13-19 year olds.
Their 'I Have Capo Status' t-shirts are an example of their belief in positivity, drive and motivation and have been one of their most successful selling t-shirts to date. "We want to empower young people and show them that they are their own captain. You don't have to follow anyone else."
MBG Funhouse
MBG Funhouse are three young single mums from disadvantaged backgrounds that have taken matters into their own hands after identifying a need in their community. Their self motivation, drive and commitment has led to them founding a weekly parent/carer child group that has been running now for over a year.
With support from the Kids Company and a grant from The Princes Trust they hold this free Saturday club focused on building bonds within the family. They volunteer their time to sustain it in addition to parenthood, career and study and have capitalised on the fact that there is no free engaging activities where families can go, have food and receive support.
The Cordless Show Team
The Cordless Show is an online music show highlighting music talent within the UK. It has been described by Kiss 100 DJ, James Merritt as the "single best resource for promoting unsigned artists, the envy of most terrestrial broadcasters, never mind the online world".
Set-up by a group of young musicians (all under 25) who volunteer their time and talents to produce a world class show and have built a thriving business and website around the concept. The core team of six and its volunteers who produce the show and website personify the ambition and inspirational vision of these awards. The Show has captured the imagination of the young people in the local community who can see first hand that with hard work and determination, their dreams can become a reality.
