Frances Davies
17 year old Frances is currently studying A levels at St Saviour's and St Olave's school in Southwark and receives outstanding grades.
Frances has a unique talent for singing, with a beautiful and individual tone to her voice that is technically advanced for her age. She has performed in front of large audiences at some of the UK's finest venues, such as The Barbican, The Royal Festival Hall and Symphony Hall Birmingham. Earlier this year she sang solo outside HM House of Lords to mark the inauguration of President Barrack Obama and has accompanied the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
In July she did the 'Breast Cancer Race for Life' and is actively involved in contributing to the school community.
Matthew Haynes
Haynzy is a fast emerging talent on the UK R&B scene. Introduced to music by his actor and musician father, he has been singing since the age of eight. As winner of the first Enfield Battle of the Bands competition he went on to become a founding member of the Enfield Young Disciples Gospel Performance Choir (later I Soul).
Through Rudo Music his music career was influenced by a meeting with US Hip Hop group Dial Tone, who encouraged him to develop his songwriting and perform as a solo artist. As 'Haynzy' his first single Fallin' Alone was released in April 2009.
He was recently the face of this year's 'Action For Children' event for Channel 4 and won the CANDI Music Apprentice of the Year award 2009.
Liam O'Brien (a.k.a RITZ)
Ritz is a 15 year old up and coming MC/Artist from North London who has written and recorded over 30 tracks and is about to release his second mixtape cd.
His tracks reflect the challenges of life growing up on the streets of London, reversing the negativity into a positive message against youth and knife crime. He has recently caught the attention of professional creative and mentor Mark One who invested in him by producing a video for his track 'Old Skool Remix'; Luke is hoping that this will get picked up by a broadcaster soon.
He has built up his fan base in such a short amount of time, performing at over ten events across the capital with a recent eight week slot at Camden Rock.
Mariama Samba
Mariama has flourished into a versatile, daring artist, embracing a fresh UK style that deals with positive/informative songs promoting hope for young people in the community.
A realisation of her love for music as her expression came at age 15, whilst experiencing in secondary school 'a place that oozed of racial tension'. Her music comes from a foundation of R&B but reaches out to vast audiences, using first-hand experience of negativity for the better. As writer and producer of 36 tracks, "Sunshine" was her summer track for 2009 and producers and journalists alike have stated that she is 'ahead of her time'.
Mariama's involvement in the charity, At Risk of Offending, further inspires her music to deliver and educate people with their positive messages.
This year she opened for Youssou N'dour at Indigo O2.
