Community Safety - Need Help?
A collection of advice and support specially sourced by Young People for Young People
Our Young Advisors have been working hard to find all kinds of websites to support you, our future, in your times of need. This will continue to grow, but if you (or someone you know) need help, then what are you waiting for?
We've also introduced a brand new feature - all designed to help you get the most out of the capital - a Directory - where you can find all kinds of opportunities collated by Young People just for you - so you really have no excuse to not get involved - whether you are looking for help or opportunity.
Charlton Athletic Community Trust
Charlton Athletic Community Trust has worked with young people in the community for 17 years and engages with over 7,500 young people each week many of those are in groups most at risk of social exclusion, on a vast array of projects in Bexley, Greenwich and Kent. Our programmes are delivered in schools, estates, youth and community centres, parks, prisons, pupil referral units and young offender's institutions. The power of football, sport, and increasingly the arts are used to engage young people in activities that then leads to reducing crime, improving health, raising educational attainment and increasing pathways to employment. Charlton Athletic Community Trust launched the Street Violence Ruins Lives project on 23 August 2008 with an awareness campaign warning of the dangers of street violence at a live game that was covered by Sky TV and continues to work closely with Colin and Sally Knox, parents of Rob Knox, following the tragic death of their son after he was stabbed in Sidcup in May 2008.

Families Utd
Families Utd aims to be a conduit to many different support and advice mechanisms, all designed to put forward and support the whole issue of Youth Violence in this country from the perspective of people who have had to deal with it first hand - the victims' families.
This places us in a unique position having experienced the Criminal Justice System at first hand, as well as the intense trauma surrounding the pointless death of a loved one. We want to use our experiences, opinions and drive to make a difference - to help support others that will inevitably go through this and to affect public opinion and government policy.
This site will provide a continual focal point for our thoughts, opinions and activities - and we urge you to bookmark this site, spread the word and get involved.

My Generation
MyGeneration is a registered charity based within the diverse and multi-cultural area of North Kensington, West London. Our aim is to address social and economic problems that affect young people and their families within our local and neighbouring areas, by encouraging informal social interaction with a nurturing but disciplined approach. We aim to steer a new generation of disenfranchised young people away from a life of crime, drugs and anti-social behaviour to a life of employment, self-reliance, education and social responsibility. We believe sustainable change must be driven from within and teach our beneficiaries to help themselves.
My Teen Issues
We aim to be able to help with a variety of issues by posting advice articles that cover subjects such as teen relationships, sex, teen pregnancy, weight issues and health. You will also find informational pages on subjects such as drugs, contraception and sexual health.
